The Stefan A. Riesenfeld Memorial Award
Each year, BJIL presents the annual Stefan A. Riesenfeld Memorial Award, to a distinguished scholar or practitioner who has made outstanding contributions to the field of international law.
Past awardees include a Nobel Peace Prize winner, judges of international courts and tribunals, UN special rapporteurs, and international legal scholars from around the globe.
Professor Emeritus David D. Caron was awarded the inaugural Riesenfeld Memorial Award in 2000.
