Event Overview:
The 2001 Symposium presented a unique opportunity to examine numerous legal and political issues that have arisen out of World War II reparation and restitution claims, and to discuss strategies for addressing similar claims in the future.

Following the keynote address, Prof. Yasuaki Onuma was presented with the Stefan A. Riesenfeld Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of international law.
